Why we’re part of the Living Wage Foundation as a Recognised Service Provider

08 September 2022

We’re a family-owned business and have been trading since 1969. As we’ve grown over the years, we recognise our colleagues are an integral part of what we do. Promoting and supporting colleague wellbeing is at the heart of our purpose, to create better places for everyone every day. Our colleagues’ wellbeing really matters to us, which is why we encourage everyone to bring their whole self to work by embedding our company values into everything we do, and creating a work culture through open communication channels, awareness training and annual events.

We want everyone who works with us at Regular Cleaning to know that they’re valued members of our team – and that’s one of the reasons we joined the Living Wage Foundation, as a Recognised Service Provider. Paying our colleagues, a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work, is central to our Better Places strategy and focus area, Putting People First. Whilst paying the Living Wage can see an improvement in motivation, reliability, and productivity, we prefer to focus on the impact this has on the welfare of our colleagues. Our colleagues often need to work multiple jobs and long hours to be able to provide for their families. Being paid the Living Wage allows them to work less jobs and possibly less hours, allowing them to spend more time with their families.
