Our Partnership with St Mungo’s This Christmas

22 December 2025

Regular Cleaning Christmas

Throughout December, colleagues from Regular Cleaning came together with clients and service partners to support our St Mungo’s partnership through volunteering, fundraising and local donation drives.

Homelessness remains a critical issue in 2025. Estimates suggest 4,667 people across the UK are sleeping rough on any given night, and London has seen a sharp rise, year on year.

St Mungo’s supports people experiencing homelessness to move into safety and access the help they need to rebuild their lives and live independently. Last year alone, St Mungo’s supported 25,000 people.

Putting People First and Partnering for Change are two of our Better Places pillars at Regular Cleaning. Our work with St Mungo’s is one of the ways we put those values into action – through time, presence and practical support. This blog shares what we’ve been doing together this Christmas, and the people who helped make it happened.

Volunteering at St Mungo’s Services

Across December, colleagues, clients, and service partners volunteered at several St Mungo’s services, helping to prepare communal spaces and spend time with residents staying at the services.

On 5th December, JLL joined us to host a Christmas party at one of those local services. Volunteers helped set up the space, prepare food and welcome guests.

Billie Powell, Corporate Volunteering Assistant at St Mungo’s, said:

The volunteers have done a brilliant job as always. The room is looking amazing, we had all the bits we needed, and we’re ready for clients to get stuck into a feast!”

For many volunteers, the conversations were the part they remembered most:

On 9th and 10th December, colleagues, joined by CBRE, visited two further services to decorate Christmas trees and communal spaces.

Volunteers also spent time talking with St Mungo’s clients and residents told us the decorations “brightened the place up” and “made it feel truly Christmassy”.

On 16th December, colleagues supported another service by helping serve Christmas dinner alongside St Mungo’s staff. The focus was simple: make sure residents felt welcomed, had a hot meal and could enjoy the space.

Fundraising and donations at our Service Support Centre
The festive bauble entries, in aid of St Mungo’s

We ran fundraising events at our Service Support Centre (SSC) throughout December, with all proceeds going to St Mungo’s.

Colleagues took part in friendly competitions — including a Christmas tree decorating challenge, a bauble decorating competition, and a festive bake-off — with small donations to enter.

Congratulations to Charley Francis, Client Support Administrator, who won the bauble decorating competition with a Regular Cleaning-themed design.

A big well done to Alina Hristea, who took the top spot in our festive bake-off with her delicious triple chocolate cake!

The Minster Building Donation Drive

We’ve also collected gift donations throughout the month. On 16th December, volunteers came together to wrap the donated presents, ready for distribution through St Mungo’s services.

Since November, colleagues and clients have also been collecting coats and warm clothing to donate to St Mungo’s. Donation drives were supported across several client sites – a massive thank you to everyone who donated.

The Rathbone Square Christmas Fair
Community fundraising

At Rathbone Square, we supported a festive Christmas Fair on 5th December, helping raise funds and awareness for St Mungo’s. The event raised £615, with pop-up food and card making proving especially popular.

On 15th December, volunteers headed to London Euston for an afternoon of bucket rattling, speaking with members of the public, and collecting donations.

Thank you
Volunteers decorating another St Mungo’s service

It’s been a busy month, and we’re grateful to play a part in supporting St Mungo’s work.

A sincere thank you to our colleagues, clients and service partners who gave their time, donated, organised activities and encourage others to get involved. Your support helped make this month possible.

We’re also thankful to St Mungo’s, for welcoming our colleagues into services and supporting each visit.

From all of us at Regular Cleaning, Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

What do our clients say?
