Regular Cleaning – Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic

20 April 2020

The current COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak has presented many businesses with challenges, none more so than the cleaning sector. We are playing a key role in reducing the risk to human health and additional spread of COVID-19 by providing and maintaining clean, sanitised and safe premises and environments.

At Regular Cleaning, we have taken immediate action to ensure that at the end of this period of restricted working, we are in a strong position to support our clients and continue to invest in the future of our colleagues and the community we serve.

At all stages our approach is aligned to the government’s advice and we always prioritise the wellbeing of our colleagues in our decision making. We have a strong, established business, giving our clients the confidence that we can continue to operate reliably and dynamically under the most testing of circumstances.

As a business, we remain fully operational with our field based colleagues continuing to work to provide services to meet with our client’s requirements. The health and wellbeing of our colleagues is of paramount importance to us and therefore they are being provided with the necessary training, guidance, PPE and support to be able to carry out their roles safely and effectively. In addition, all colleagues continue to have access to Regular Rewards including 24/7 counselling, wellbeing advice for mind, body and finance and discounts for hundreds of retailers including supermarkets.

As most of our head office team are able to work from home, we have suspended our deliveries of fresh fruit and have worked with Fruitful Office to donate our regular office fruit orders to our wonderful frontline NHS staff.

Our intention is to be in a position to carry on with all the initiatives we had planned for this year including:

> Extending the work of our sustainability team; working with our clients on a collaborative approach to further reduce the impact our services have on the environment.

> Building on our work with our partners at St Mungo’s homeless charity to provide training and employment.

> Increasing our work in understanding mental health issues and supporting people within our company and the wider community. This includes continuing to develop our mental health awareness training, increasing our number of Mental Health First Aiders, and collaborating with our clients on wellbeing projects.

We are hopeful that by taking the measures we have outlined above we will be in a strong position to offer all our current and future clients what you are looking for in a future service partner.

We are a socially responsible family cleaning business. For the past 50 years, we have been making work places better places, through the delivery of customer focused services. Our priorities during these challenging times are to continue to be there to support both our clients and our colleagues in any way we can. Likewise, we thank you for your support and look forward to continuing our successful working relationships and building new relationships, as we overcome the challenges we are currently faced with together.

If there is anyway that we can support you in providing and maintaining clean, safe and sanitised workplaces and environments please do not hesitate to contact us at enquiries@regularcleaning.com. We’re here to help.
