The Sweet Smell Of Success

October 31, 2012 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

Punter Southall, are an extremely successful professional services company. The brief was to assume responsibility for the cleaning of the company’s three existing sites in London and then work closely with the Facilities Management team in the migration to brand new premises overlooking Trafalgar Square. This demanded multi-site delivery during the phased move and pro-actively managing the transfer and redeployment of the cleaning staff.

The other new start-ups, both based in London’s West End, have a distinctly ‘fragrant’ theme as the Company has been successful in gaining the contract for the very prestigious headquarter offices for Jo Malone London in Gloucester Place and this was closely followed by the award to clean the UK headquarters of the Estee Lauder Group of Companies in Grosvenor Street.

In addition, two brand new buildings providing commercial and residential space within the Grosvenor Estates portfolio for whom RCS look after the Corporate office in the West End, also commenced this summer.

Other prominent new business awards gained over the summer include:

The City based UK offices of T. Rowe Price, who offer a full range of investment management and related services to both individual and institutional investors.

RCS are delighted to be involved with a number of exciting initiatives with the global investment management specialists, whose headquarters are situated in Baltimore, Maryland, USA and who have offices in 13 countries around the world. The initiatives agreed with T. Rowe Price include a focus on delivering the highest quality of service, including the installation of an electronic quality audit system, a performance bonus linked to criteria such as quality results, attendance and appearance and output specifications supported by a team-based ethos, ownership and accountability. In addition, we have made a commitment to move to the London Living Wage early in the New Year. The base pay rate will be in accord with the published rate and we are pleased to announce that this will be the fourth contract where we have been able to implement this. Eagle House & Proctor House- A cleaning and janitorial service to include internal and external space of these two prominent buildings in Holborn which house retail and commercial tenants, will commence in October 2012.

Park House – We are excited to have been selected as preferred supplier for internal cleaning at this purpose built new iconic building, which occupies an entire island site opposite Selfridges. Heralded as a major addition to the architecture of Mayfair; this mixed use development will house commercial, retail and private apartments.

Finally, we are pleased to confirm that our contract with Broadgate Estates for Mid-City Place in Holborn has been extended for a further two years. Fundamental to the forward plan to enhance service delivery at this premier mid-town building is the commitment by RCS to continuous improvement and on-going innovation.

English Lessons Prove Popular

October 5, 2012 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

The initiative forms part of RCS’s ongoing commitment to staff, with the aim of the classes being to help non-native English speakers to acclimatise to the society and culture they are living and working in.

The lessons proved popular and one member of staff, Luzmilla Blanco Sanabria who attended the Intermediate English speaking lessons which took place from 14th July 2012 until 26th July said: “The English classes that I received were very interesting and helpful.

“The methodology that both teachers Ghulam and Joy used was very appropriate to help me to learn new vocabulary (especially when the internet was used).

“It was a good idea to receive all the contents of my classes through an attachment via email. Now, I am sure that I can interact in a better way with my colleagues, bosses and the clients.

“I am very grateful to RCS to allow me to improve my English. Thanks to the teachers too.”

Luzmilla’s lessons were for 2 hours on one day per week and were focused around language barriers that RCS employees may experience whilst at work. Gemma Bowers, RCS’s HR Manager said, “we are delighted that the lessons were well received by our staff and we are excited about this initiative which we hope to roll out to more RCS staff in the coming weeks.”

St Luke’s is the local hospice for Harrow, Brent and Basildon in Essex. They give palliative care during the final stages of illness, giving people the best quality of life possible.

They rely on donations for over 75% of their funding and are only able to operate with the support of the people who give their time and money to fundraise on their behalf.

Regular Cleaning Services sponsored Steve on his 5KM challenge and you could too by sending a cheque made payable to St Luke’s Hospice and posting to The Building Manager, 33 Jermyn Street, London, SW1Y 6DN or you can donate directly to St Luke’s Hospice via this link.
