Join us as we support Charlton Athletic Community Trust’s Annual Upbeats Walk on Saturday 29th April, in aid of the Charlton Upbeats, a special football team and wider support group of people living with Down’s Syndrome.
The event is a 9-mile walk between the Charlton Athletic FC training ground and their home ground – ‘The Valley’ – and aims to raise funds for the Upbeats and their programme of special activity for the 170 strong group – all adults and children affected by living with Down’s Syndrome.
We have assembled a talented squad of athletic colleagues 🙂 from across our business to form the ‘Regular Ramblers’. They will be walking with Upbeat members, fellow patrons and other fundraisers to raise money for this deserved group of adults and children so they can keep their activity program alive and running for the coming year.
The Upbeats football team plays in the Kent Adult Disability League and were successful in being league winners in their first season. The Upbeats are also 9 times, National Down’s syndrome champions.
As a patron of Charlton Athletic Community Trust we are involved in supporting many of their initiatives across the year and are happy that we can continue to be part of the Annual Upbeats Walk.
PLEASE DONATE IF YOU CAN
We’ve raised just over half (56%) of our fundraising target for this year so far, but still need your support so please DONATE if you can by registering your contribution on the official event page. Even a small amount will be gratefully received and help us to meet our target.
Thank you.
